Working on Masters

This will be the EMS online learning community. The campus location is Eastwood Middle School-El Paso, TX. The names of the members are:

Leslie, 8th Grade Career Investigations/CT
Micaela, 7th/8th Grade Video Tech
Eric, 8th Grade Social Studies
Kelley, 8th Grade Social Studies

PURPOSE - Members of this online learning community will gather ideas and suggestions that will improve technology implementation on the EMS campus. All members of the community may "Edit", add and ask questions, share ideas, or make suggestions.

This year (and two years prior), the Campus STaR Chart shows Teaching and Learning as our campus' greatest weakness. This area of the STaR Chart includes the following:
  • Patterns of Classroom Use
  • Frequency/Design of Instructional Setting
  • Content Area Connection
  • Technology Application (TA) TEKS Implementation
  • Student Mastery of Technology Applications
  • Online Learning

I would like to be able to make professional development recommendations for 2009-2010 to Administration.
  • What types of professional development should be suggested/recommended to Administration for assisting teachers with integrating technology and making a connection in the content areas? (The professional development can include something we can do ongoing during the year in small groups, something you have attended that you think would benefit the campus members, etc.)
